My F1 Second Half Predictions

Now that the first half of the season is finished and we are at the Summer Break; we should do a second half of the season prediction. I will predict the World Champion, a good surprise, a bad surprise and a crazy prediction. I will predict a team and driver apart from crazy surprise so lets stop the yap and get straight to the point.

World Champion

Driver: Kimi Antonelli: He will obviously be the World Champion after his dominance at the start of the season. I do think he will have small blip for 4-5 races but that won't effect unless Lewis wins 2 Grand Prix that he DNF's in. I think this would really show Kimi's ability to win races in any type of way. He will have a few races where he needs good comeback drives and that would prove he has the ability to win the World Championship.

Team: Ferrari: This may come as a surprise to some people because it's Ferrari and they are usally terrible but it's different this season. At the start of the season I would I have said Mercedes but George Russell's inconsistency let them down and they weren't able to build a substantile gap between them and Ferrari. The gap going into the Summer Break is 72 points. It sounds big but they arre only a few 1-2's away from winning the constructors. It will be an extremely close fight towards the end of the season but yet again George Russell's inconsistency will let Mercedes down and ultimately cost them.

Good Surprise

Driver: Gabriel Bortoleto: Gabi has looked solid all season. He has scored all of Audi's points apart from 2 which came in hungary from Nico. It seems as though Audi are improving and so is Gabi. He has the oppotunity to be a World Championone day and this backend of the season is a chance to prove it in this second half of the season. This may sound a bit outlandish but I think Gabi will get a podium this season. It will be a crazy race or a race with changeable conditions that he gets it in but he could do it.

Team: Audi: Audi have been so good over the last 2 seasons (even though last year they were Sauber). They got a podium last year with Nico Hulkenburg. This season they have proved they aren't the same team as 2024 (both figuratively and literally). People can clearly see Audi are pointing themselves in the right direction and I think by Monza they will conistently be scoring points. Like I said Gabi will be the star of the show and will prove that he is the better driver than Nico this year.

Bad Surprise

Driver: George Russell: As you can probaly tell I hate George Russell. I think he is a whiny brat when something doesn't go his way and in the words of him describing Max Verstappen "whenever anything is not going his way; he lashes out with anger and borderline violence". I'm getting side tracked now. I've been really disappointed with his season so far. He was my World Champion this year and he has not shown he anything impressive. I think he will have an insane drop off this year and finish 4th or even 5th in the Championship. Kimi has completely overshadowed him and that is embrassing for him because Kimi is 19 and in his second season. This is a bit of a hot take, so don't be surprised if it is wrong come the end of the season.

Team: Red Bull: This won't come as a surprise to most people since they already have struggled for most of the season. Now, they have turned their focus away from the RB22 which means the car won't really improve. While they were still competing for wins and podiums before the break but I think worse case scenario they will fall all way down to midfield. That will probably not stop Max but still a chance he is getting knocked out in Q2 again.

Crazy Prediction

My crazy prediction is that the Championship battle will come down to the last race. As I said Kimi will have a blip that will almost make him bottle the Championship. I think he will manage to eek through with a win in the last race and 4 race wins within the backend of the season. Lewis will use his experience to his advantage and tighten the battle. We could also see a 3 way title fight with Charles involved as well. I don't think Lewis will take the Championship lead at all but the gap would just tighten up

This is going to be my last F1 for a week or 2 because I want to start turning my attention to football and the NFL which start in a few weeks time. Hopefully you decide to follow along with me next time. Goodbye!
