My Way Too Early 2026-27 Predictions

The season finished 3 days ago and it's time for the first prediction of the summer. There will be 3 of these, This is the first, The second will be a few days after the World Cup and the Third will be a week before the season. I think next season will be a weird season. The order this be in will be 20th-1st so if you want to see who won scroll all the way down to the bottom.

20. Ipswich

This is nothing against them, they have some great players like Jaden Philogene, Jacob Greaves and Leif Davis. The thing that will send them down will be the fact that they have a weaker squad compared to everyone else in the league. If they want to spend big then they will have to sell a lot. It will be tight between them and 19th but it will still be not enough. They had a really solid season and deserve to go up but they don't have the bags man they had last time with Liam Delap which seems like a good thing these days but that is still a major loss.

19. Nottingham Forest

This is what should have happened this year, I have 2 reasons for this and the first one being that they will lose Morgan Gibbs White and Elliot Anderson this summer. The upside on this however will be they will get a ton of money for the two of them but who will want to go to them since they were in a relegation battle this season and have no Europe. The second reason being that Victor Pereira done this last year. He kept wolves up and every one thought he was a great manager only to send them down this season. When they do sack him, I don't think I would trust Mr Marinakas A.K.A the Greek Homer Simpson (do not decapitate me Marinakas) to get the right replacement, he sacked Nuno for no reason and replaced him with Australian Gary Neville, Ange Postecoglou and they didn't win a single game, He then brought Sean Dyche who I didn't think was that bad and sacked him and then brought in Pereira who turned the ship around. It will be a bad year for them and they will be down.

18. Leeds United

They had a decent season this time out but that will not last much longer. They have a great squad but my only question is; do they have the right manager? Daniel Farke history in the Premier League is horrible. out of 3 seasons in the Premier League he has been relegated twice. While he was great this year they will lose so many key player so it will be a poor season. It will be within 3 points though.

17. Hull City

They deserve to go up after spy gate and it will go down as one of the greatest underdog story in Championship history. I got a feeling they will spend every single pound brilliantly and that will show. If they are able to keep hold of Ollie McBurnie that will be crucial to what happens next season. They will stay up with a win on the last day and it will be a nail biting relegation battle where one minor slip up will have you down.

16. Sunderland

This is so unlikely but I think it will happen because they have Europe and it will be a struggle to keep up with squad depth. They will be safe in march but there main focus will be on Europa League. Other than that there isn't much it write home about.

15. Coventry

Coventry already have a great squad but the rumours I have heard could see them be so far clear of the relegation zone. Lois Openda and Harvey Elliot would be 2 of the best signings this summer. They had a great season in the Championship winning it all comfortably and Lampard looked like a great manager for the first time since his derby days. I'm going to just have one sentence for 14-10 Just because there isn't a lot to talk about.

14. Crystal Palace

They will win the Conference League and remain fully focused on Europa League. Their new rumoured manager is known around the footballing world for playing some of the most disgusting football ever heard.

13. Newcastle

The owners don't care and Eddie howe is not the man for the job.

12. Everton

Just the most Everton season ever where they finish mid table and have a few minor glimpses.

11. Fulham

0They will have a Europe push but it will collapse in the final weeks of the season. They have an aging squad and not that much talent to replace them. According to multiple reports Marco Silva will leave this summer.

10. Bournemouth

They have had an insane season, Pushing the Champions League race all the way to the final day and securing Europa League with 2 games left to play. They will lose a few players that are massive for them this season and losing Iriola this summer. While I do think Marco Rose is the right man for the job they will have a few issues with squad depth when trying to balance out Europe and the league. A major issue they will have is that I think they will have a deep run in the Europa League and this will heavily affect them as the season goes on.

9. Tottenham Hotspur

While this is a major step up from the past 2 seasons, It's not the standards we would expect a 'Big 6' club to have. A key reason for this happening is because of the injury to Xavi Simons against Wolves a few weeks ago. The key reason for them coming so much higher is because of some the players they are linked to and on the verge of signing. They are apparently on the verge of signing Andrew Robertson on a free from Liverpool and Marco Senesi on a free from Bournemouth. They have been linked to Mason Greenwood from Marseille who is a horrible human but a really good footballer, scoring 16 goals making him the 3rd top scorer and 7 assists making him 4th in the top assisters. He also had the 2nd highest match rating according to FotMob with a 7.69. So overall this next window is make or break window for spurs and make sure you keep a keen eye on them this summer.

8. Brighton

This team is so good, they will have the same issues as Bournemouth in terms of squad depth but the only difference between them is that Brighton have been in this situation before in 2023/24 season where went to the Europa League Round of 16 but since then the format has changed for the competions. They will go through a spell where they can't win but that will probaly last at most a month. Hurzeler is an amazing manager and will lead them on a deep run into the Conference League.

7. Brentford

They had a similar season to Bournemouth and Brighton where they exceeded expectations and so nearly got europe if it wasn't for a draw on the final day with Liverpool. The only difference between Bournemouth, Brighton and Brentford is that Brentford don't have europe so that means they will have fresher legs week in and week out for leaguue games which will be massive for this europe run in. They have great leadership in Jordan Henderson and have a well balanced squad which is massive for any Premier League team. Overall, this story will be amazing either way.

6. Liverpool

Putting us here really annoys me but what I know exactly how this story will go, We will spend way too much money again, try to put faith in Slot and in the first half of the season we will be 12th with about 4 wins and Slot will be sacked in January and by then it's too late to save our season ultimately making us miss Champions League entirely. Players like Isak, Wirtz, Kerkez and Frimpong will have far better seasons but I feel if we let go Curtis Jones then it will be the end of our midfield that used to run like steam engine. Ekitike will be back in January which will be so big for us.

5. Man City

If you were to show this to someone in 2022 they would laugh at you and call you crazy. But with no Pep or Klopp, City and Liverpool will have a major fall off. According to Multiple reports, Maresca will be the next manager of City. I don't like him as a manager as his tactics are way to different to what Pep use to play and that will be a huge change for the Players and Fans, who will want him out by the end of the season. This is not what I want to do but it feels way too accurate for what could happen next year.

4. Aston Villa

Villa have had a great season and won't really break up their main core of players. After the Europa League win, The team will continue to get stronger and stronger as time goes on. They will be in this insane title fight that will go on until the last day but will ultimately fall off by april.

3. Chelsea

I love the hiring of Xabi Alonso who is one of if the best manager in the world right now. His system fits Chelsea Perfectly and has fixed one of Chelsea biggest issues before managing a game; being the manager instead of head coach. The difference is the manager gets a even bigger say on who they sign and is a key role in the negoiations while a head coach only focuses on tactics and line ups. This will help with Chelsea's spending issues while playing a three at the back which really fits Chelsea. He will have competing for the title espically since there is no european nights at Chelsea next season. This will play massively into Chelsea's season.

2. Man United

Micheal Carrick had them playing amazing football for the first time in a while, with Carrick coming permantly it's exactly what they are missing. He has fully unlocked Kobbie Mainoo and Benjimin Sesko in the second half of the season. The only issue I have seen is the last time United hired an Intern it didn't go well. Well Carrick isn't Solskjaer so it can be so much better. If they can replace Casemiro for the long term I think they can win the league but it will come down to the final day.

1. Arsenal

This team is so good and I can see a massive summer coming where they are able to fill in major gaps and win the league. I think it will only be close because Saka will get injured in January which will let them down. People think Saka is bad but if you look at anything but G+A he is a pretty solid winger. Having 61 chances created and 7.2 Expected Assists. but this is 100% the best team in the league. Mikel Arteta is a great manager and people may critize him because of his tactics but he is still a great manager.

Overall, I think this will be a bit of an unpredictable season but still a great one. The next one will be in about 1 month after the World Cup but the next article will be a season review so I will write to you then!
